It's interesting, I had a conversation about this on a finnish imageboard (you know which one, don't judge I visit it very rarely) and I got into a semi-serious political debate.
The dude I was talking with told me that he's getting kids, and he and his wife both have disabilities, and that his doctor told him his kids will most likely have both of the disabilities. Not even mentioning that they already had kids, which were disabled.
He then started chimping out because I told him that no one, especially in the case that the parents are fully aware that the kid will be retarded, should pay for his/her medical expenses.
