I can't afford college and the military rejected me for having seen a counselor in the past. (No medication or depression symptoms, purely by parents request.)
What are some respectable career paths I can work towards without being a leech? I'm having a tough time making a plan and my parents are pushing me to find something to get me out of the house which I totally understand.

Find a job and stay with your parents (to minimize cost) until you have enough money to get an apprenticeship/course/schnellkurz/whatever then try to find a job in that field and work your way up or something.
Honestly I don't know, my country ensures everyone gets proper education for free and Ive never heard about our Army rejecting people.

Try a different branch of service (assuming you only tried one) and hopefully your recruiter won't be such a cunt. Otherwise I agree with the guys above, learning a trade is the way to go.

I tried the air force first on recommendation from a few people and he wasn't very helpful at all. After being rejected from the air force for that the other branches rejected me despite the recruiters working with me to find a loophole.
As for the trade schools, is there an average expense on this sort of thing? I'm trying to make a reasonable 4-5 year plan here so I don't get stuck in a rut.

I'm in the same boat, got rejected from the air force. If you like programming, look into programming boot camps. My brother is a web developer, says half of his team didn't go to college. I'm about 1 month into one and I've been learning a lot. Do some research, there is probably one near you.

Realistically, how easy is it to become an electrician? I've been giving it some thought myself and am largely in the same boat as OP.
Although in my case, preschool teacher convinced my mom I was insane because she despised all the boys in her class and her recommended doctor prescribed some pills that made me literally go fucking insane until they wore off. It was a turning point for my parents and they've never trusted behavioral medication since.

Get in touch with a local Union Hall and ask if there are any apprenticeships available. They will give you on the job training to learn a trade with the potential for very good pay. Try to get into pipefitting, millwright, or instrumentation. Electricians are a dime a dozen.

As long as you're absolutely positive you're not going to blow your brains out before your contract is complete you can easily not mention seeing a psychologist/therapist. The military is not the CIA they won't research your medical history they don't have the time or money to do it. So don't tell them about your edgy teenage suicide attempt or taking adhd medicine for a brief time when you were a little kid.
That stuff basically auto disqualifies you. If you do decide to go through and lie about it don't pussy out when they interrogate you on your medical history remember that THEY WONT ACTUALLY INVESTIGATE IT IF YOU TOLD THEM NOTHING.
