My family just moved, it was to be my first day of school in the new city.
I remember seeing it on the TV before my mom took me out to my first day, but since she took my sister first, when we got to my school it was too late. I was pretty happy I didn't have to go. Didn't really understand the gravity of it all. I just thought it was a fire or something.

Well around here nobody cared, there were a lot "fewer" of them still and we could still pretend they aren't an issue by moving them to lower school forms and their own parts of the city.

I was a softmore in high school at the time. I was feeling kind of sick that day so I wound up staying home.
I was laying on the couch and had just got done watching a bit of the movie Twister (I used to love that movie) and decided to watch the weather channel for a bit. At the time we had that old set up where you had to tune your tv to channel 3 in order to watch your videyas (Didn't see a dvd player till like 2003 or 2004.) So that meant that I was on a news station. I just got done shutting the VCR off and they JUST cut in with the news of the first tower on fire.
So I wound up getting the chance to watch 9/11 from the very beginning.
Basically everybody in my school wanted Iraq to win and thought they would win.
I was like, middle of 9th grade, I think.
Second period of the day, and the teacher turned on the TV in time for the news to show the second plane hit. People started crying.
I joined the military as soon as I graduated as a result, but I never shot anyone (corpsman).
