This show had the fucking greatest villains I have ever seen in a series. Zaheer and Kuvira were amazing. But not for children. These are ideas they did not grasp, just like the whole lesbianistic friendship part.

This is one of those tv shows I have a real soft spot for, personally.
If you know your martial arts, the amount of thought that went into the law surrounding bending and its philosophies has been respectably thought out.
Aang was a well-constructed series. Quite soft hearted, inoffensive without being full SJW tier.
Korra was good, but quite lacking in a lot of areas that have been previously discussed. I liked the characters that mattered, and I thought the villains in the series were better than your standard "muh ebil firelurd" style of writing, even if they could've been handled somewhat better.
Season 3 is my personal favourite, and hail the great uniter.

Little kid finds out he's an alien, big bad aliens invade and fight him and his friends, there are fusions, decent lore, etc.
It could be 10/10 but unfortunately Steven is in it so that brings it down to a 6.
I feel like there's too much of a focus on comedy in Western animation, and the idea that it has to be aimed at kids, I wish they wouldn't be so afraid to tackle serious subjects and drama, although I guess the Batman cartoon had a go at that.
