Unless you're a high level officer in the US military, you have no idea what the current DEFCON level is.
That said, DEFCON Warning System has gotten really liberal with increasing their levels over the past year. They've been at DEFCON 3 maybe three times in the past year alone. They'll increase over minor incidents and when asked for the sources of their information, they won't provide it. I almost get the impression that they're milking DEFCON increases for more site traffic.
tl;dr DEFCON Warning System doesn't know what they're talking about.

We're been at DEFCON 3 since early this morning, there's been loads of talk about it.
That said, the spergs running the Discord deleted it because they couldn't find the ban feature. :^)
