>REMINDER FOR THE 24TH
Counts will get under way when polls close at 22:00 GMT Thursday, 23 June at 382 local centres around the UK. These local results will be declared as the counts are completed before being collated at 12 regional centres, which will also declare the totals for each side. There will be a rolling total so the time at which one side reaches the point of being mathematically unbeatable depends on how quickly the vote are counted and how close the results are running. It is a safe bet that from 4am onwards there should be pretty clear picture of which way the vote is going. A chief counting officer will announce the overall result at Manchester Town Hall. There will be no official exit poll, although some private banks are doing one, but they might not release the results until after the official count. Keep your eye on the Sterling, if it suddenly tanks, then we can guess the results.

Absoloutely fucking disgutsing tbhfam. How could remain stoop so low?
Or more or less what we put into the EU (£10 Billion net) is is wasted. You'll hear how the EU gives us money, but it is simply money that we've given. It's like me going to the shop and having to give you £10 and then you giving it back and telling me what to spend it on, except now I can't spend it on stuff like the NHS.
There is five President of the EU, they are not elected by the people. Rather within the European Union itself and they cannot be removed from power.
There is the TTIP treaty that is being discussed. It has no input from countries, it is being written by bankers and the unelected (by the people) EU members. MEP's don't have a say, nor do countries. TTIP will give big corporations the right to sue the Public sector like the NHS and the Government.
They say we won't get trade deals if we leave. Switzerland isn't in the EU and has a population of 2 million, yet they have secured a trade deal with China and the EU can't.
The EU currently makes 60% of our laws. And of we can veto them under Cameron's new deal, we need 15/28 EU countries to agree with us, and that comes at a price. Like how we had to allow Poland to be able to send Child benefits homes to Poland or else they wouldn't agree to it.
We have zero control over EU immigration. There was reported over 1 million people who came into Britain last year, we have an open door to 500 million people in the EU. They obviously all won't come, but it's put serious pressure in parts on the National Health Service, Housing and Schools.
You're in the wrong thread
I hope you guys are working on your friends and family.

Western Civilisation won't die mate, we'll just continue on as Chinese-style serfs with a similarly autocratic government.
The people will get their bread and circuses, however, and there will always be fake social issues to keep the politically-minded occupied. Just keep your head down and don't question the narrative, lad, and all will be well.

>>77920987
You're completely mistaken. NATO has members that are outside of the EU and not all EU members are members of NATO. In addition, most EU members under-spend on defence and do not meet the required 2% expenditure on GDP, partly due to putting the EU before NATO. In addition, the potential for an EU Army (and before you say no chances, they just issued White Papers calling for EU countries to begin forming European military formations under Brussels command) could not only take resources away from NATO
In addition to this there is practically no chance with a war against Russia as long as the US is part of NATO. Russia is a paper tiger that just about managed a light bombing campaign in Syria and low level support in Ukraine.
Voting to Remain will, if anything, WEAKEN NATO and lead the EU to continue actions such as in Ukraine which contributed to the conflict there.

>>77921648
But we're being overcharged for the club membership and it's not even a good deal.
UK GDP = £2 Trillion
UK exports = 17% of GDP = £353 Billion
of which 44% goes to EU = £155 Billion
Most important EU destinations are Germany, France and Netherlands, who take over 55% of our exports to EU. Their weighted average tariffs are 1.5%, 1.5% and 1.5% respectively. Taking that as the rate for all exports to EU, the tariff due on £155 billion would actually be £2.3 billion.
As it is our gross (pre rebate) contribution to EU is around £18 billion, falling to £10.5 billion post rebate and around £9 billion post CAP (farming and fishing) subsidies (but before one off grants etc)
So we're paying over 3 times the export tariffs in membership fees.

The EU doesn't function as a proper democracy. Jean-Claude Junker appoints the commission personally, and the commission is not legally obligated to heed any advice from the Parliament such as when repealing or amending laws.
Junker also decides what each member of the commission is allowed to debate.
The parliament ARE allowed to vote on the suitability of the commission as a whole, but not individual members. This is not democratic.
The members of the commission do not represent the people and are not accountable to them, whatsoever.
Also the EU has fucking /abysmal/ growth and serious unemployment across the board. They've blocked trade agreements with China (and Canada + India I think) for petty reasons, whereas tiny countries such as Switzerland have had agreements with them for a very long time.
>>77916881
I copied and edited some Brits posts (edited for American use)
Before the Whole left vs right thing. There's people on the left voting out and one of the main Leave campaigners is left wing. David Cameron, the Centre-right Conservative is the main campaigner to remain. It is not simply right wing wants out and Left wing wants to remain.
People think it's mainly about the economy and immigration. It isn't.There's many factors other than Economical matters and Globalism.
Like how the British fishing industry has been drastically reduced because the EU has delivered Quotas to say British people don't have the right to fish in British waters. Countries like Spain can sail up to fifty feet off British Land and fish the waters, but British ships aren't allowed into the waters.
Or more or less what the Brits put into the EU (£10 Billion net) is is wasted. You'll hear how the EU gives them money, but it is simply money that they've (the Brits) given. It's like me going to the shop and having to give you $10 and then you giving it back and telling me what to spend it on, except now I can't spend it on stuff like the NHS.
>>77922673
2/2
There are five Presidents of the EU, they are not elected by the people. Rather within the European Union itself and they cannot be removed from power.
Jean-Claude Junker appoints the commission, which is approved/vetoed by Parliament as a WHOLE -- Parliament have no say over which commissioners they approve/disprove of.
Junker also has complete say over what each commissioner is allowed to debate.
The Commission also is under no obligation to take heed of the advice of parliament when it wants to appeal/repeal a law.
That's not a democracy. These people are not accountable to the elected public.
There is the TTIP treaty that is being discussed. It has no input from countries, it is being written by bankers and the unelected (by the people) EU members. MEP's don't have a say, nor do countries. TTIP will give big corporations the right to sue the Public sector like the NHS and the Government.
They say the Brits won't get trade deals if they leave. Switzerland isn't in the EU and has a population of 2 million, yet they have secured a trade deal with China and the EU can't.
The EU currently makes 60% of British laws. And Brits can veto them under Cameron's new deal, they need 15/28 EU countries to agree with them, and that comes at a price. Like how Britain had to allow Poland to be able to send Child benefits homes to Poland or else they wouldn't agree to it.
The British have zero control over EU immigration. There was reported over 1 million people who came into Britain last year, they basically have an open door to 500 million people in the EU. They obviously all won't come, but it's put serious pressure in parts on the National Health Service, Housing and Schools.
The only logical course of action is for them to vote Leave in Brexit.

1: true
2: nope, each party has their own system. corbyn for instance is party leader because of popular vote. you can vote for the pm if you are a member of the winning party. PM's are accountable to both party and country and are under threat of being voted out. Junker is not accountable to the UK in any way no matter how much we object.
3 : non point really, so civil servants actually do what the people voted for, they are given instructions by governments that were elected. we dont need a democratic vote every time someone wants to take a shit.
4: laws are proposed by accountable mps and debated by lords. we dont have a written constitution because we have a living one in the ford of the house of lords. they dont get to over rule the house of commons. the eu only allows elected meps to approve laws it has already decided on.

We don't have any effective control over the rebate. Every time Britain has objected to something that the EU wants, we lose.
Since records began in 1996, the UK has not managed to prevent a single proposal placed in front of the EU council from becoming European law. This amounts to 72 measures that the UK opposed that have since become British law. Since 1973 the UK’s voting power in the Council of Ministers has decreased from 17% to 8%, in the European Parliament it has decreased from 20% to 9.7% and in the European Commission it has decreased from 15% to 4%. The UK has about 12% of the EU's population, it provides only 5% of the EU's staff and the situation is set to get worse. More than four in 10 British officials will be enjoying their retirement by 2020 and, based on the number of applicants in recent years, most of them will not be replaced (junior roles have only a 2.4% UK entrance rate) - this matters because legislation unlike in a democracy is drafted by unelected civil servants in the Berlaymont building, the EU Parliament is merely a rubber stamp with amending rights. Over the last European Parliamentary term (2009-14),a majority of British MEPs(across UK party lines) opposed 576 motions out of a total 1,936 that were put before the European Parliament. Of those 576 motions, 485 were nonetheless approved by the rest of the Parliament despite the opposition of a majority of British MEPs. This is a failure rate of 84%. This rises to 89% in Economic & Monetary affairs & 98% loss in Budget votes. We are the 2nd worst represented in the EU parliament after France with 839,194 inhabitants per MEP (Lux 76,667 per MEP, Ireland 350,750, Italy 816,000). "British Influence", we've seen British Influence in the laughable failure to compromise from the EU. Cameron gave up considerable, if unused, UK powers to get his 'reforms'. I have no doubt, if pushed, the rebate would also be surrendered.

No, we don't. It's part of our obligation, if they decide to scrap the rebate altogether, we won't have much recourse. In fact many EU member states have been pushing to scrap the rebate altogether. It's something I see as likely in the near future with all the talk of massive expansions to the budget and the EU army being planned.

Rebate negotiation requires unanimous vote. It simply isn't possible for it to change without our consent. Also if we have failed on every vote. How did we stop going into the Euro? How did we stop joining Schengen? How did we block Steel tariff changes recently? How did we block an EU wide financial transaction tax? Something that is now going ahead with nations that want it but ones that don't are exempt. You know like other shit we have kept out of before. If we have always lost on votes. Demography is destiny, and:
- White people as a group are now shrinking in all white countries.
- Young white people are indoctrinated with the idea that their current wealth and safety will exist forever and the world is their home.
- Non-white people as a group are now growing in most white countries.
- Young non-white people know how to get the most free shit out of white people.
So on the white side, you have naive idealism, while on the non-white side you have cynical self-interest. Between the two, we do not stand a chance before war breaks out.

I expect more rioting in Portugal/Greece and likely Italy when their people are bankrupted and their politicians tell them that there's no possible way they can effect any change with their votes since Brussels is unaccountable to the local electorate. He obviously didn't even read the leaflet, because it explains the £350m figure and that we get some back

Most people don't care or like him a bit.
The Establishment and the Lefties loath him.

Except the EU has done this before; when they want something changed or if an influential member wants it changed, they throw out the rulebook.

Are there any instances of this ever happening?

>workers rights
Might be a legitimate concern if our workers' rights didn't exceed those the EU gives, or if the Conservatives had cut them back to the bare minimum.

Example?

Christ, don't say that. You'll have them butcher ESA even more next.
>The government seriously wanted to cut the work-related-activity-group payment to the same level as JSA.

How about the Greek bailout we were forced into?
What will happen is the chancellor will go to Brussels all blustered, like Cameron a few months ago, and come back with a worthless agreement proclaiming victory when in reality nothing has been achieved. It's political pandering. You are beyond naieve if you think we, as the second biggest contributor, are not going to be made pay for the Eurocrats policies to a huge degree. While our own country is in desperate need of public spending and suffering austerity, we'll be paying for Juncker to play Napoleon as he builds his fucking army.
If these digits end in a 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 or a 9 then Britain stays in the EU

It was a false flag. He knows full well what he did.

Except we weren't. The EU was going to use the EFSM as part of the funds to bail Greece out which non-Euro countries didn't like, shortly after that is when the law was signed to protect non-Euro states if that was to happen.
The EFSM was then used to help fund Greece but the UK and other non-euro countries are not liable to any of that, the liability from the UK and other non-Euro countries shifted onto the ECB.
