I know many immigrant mexicans and I can say that most of them have no interest in assimilating into american culture.
Most are from 30-50 years old and they come for 2 reasons 1. to send half their paycheck back to their families in mexico; most of whom depend on american money and would starve without it. And 2. to take advantage of our free education for their children; most of whom squander this in favor of drugs and gang life.
