>REMINDER FOR THE 24TH
Counts will get under way when polls close at 22:00 GMT Thursday, 23 June at 382 local centres around the UK. These local results will be declared as the counts are completed before being collated at 12 regional centres, which will also declare the totals for each side. There will be a rolling total so the time at which one side reaches the point of being mathematically unbeatable depends on how quickly the vote are counted and how close the results are running. It is a safe bet that from 4am onwards there should be pretty clear picture of which way the vote is going. A chief counting officer will announce the overall result at Manchester Town Hall. There will be no exit poll.

I don't know why you fuckers are worried. The debate tonight showed that people aren't swayed by what happened; the campaign continued right where it left off with people dogpiling Cameron and not giving a fuck. It shows that the British public (or most of them) are smart enough to separate a lone nutter and their feelings over Brexit and Remain. The only place you hear people shitting their pants over it is on here.

Fuck lads, we can't lose this vote, we just can't. I feel genuinely fearful about what might happen if we stay in.
>>77850198
If that happened, we'd all be so pissed off that even more people would vote Leave.
>>77850272
Yeah but Warsi will have TV spots tomorrow and they will bring this up m8
>>77850089
But it's hard to know if that's down to people changing their minds or the fact we only have days left and people are bricking it. I don't doubt the Cox thing has made some people switch but the 'let's all be nice from now on' shit lasted all of 5 minutes tonight before Cameron was getting shouted at by people over immigration. I don't think we're giving the public their dude when it comes to this - people are smart enough to separate the two things, I think, or or judge the context .

You could learn a thing or two from them. Americans here are too emotional when it comes to politics. Why do you think Odango was voted in twice

>>77850198
>mfw rioting in the streets

The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
God's will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires.
But if it be a sin to covet honour,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England.
God's peace! I would not lose so great an honour
As one man more methinks would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call'd the feast of Crispian.
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say "To-morrow is Saint Crispian."
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say "These wounds I had on Crispin's day."
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with advantages,
What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words—
Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester—
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day!

My parents are pensioners, not hardcore politics people, world wise, but they now view a vote brexit as almost indecent. I did mention Michael Gove's performance on TV, and the said he had made good points, but I don't think they are going to vote on the basis of facts or political arguments (in either direction ). And I'm sure many other decent older people who could have gone either way, will be thinking similarly.

Right-wing parties consistently choose centrist leaders because they see them as more electable. This leads to what Thatcher called the ratchet of socialism.

>left-wing government in power

>10 Economists out of hundreds of thousands
Fair point but I'm sure you already know they're not alone. the vast majority of reputable economists worldwide agree brexit would be detrimental to the economy short/long term.
>The IMF has pulled back from it's claims and it's own figures show that the UK could have long term growth beyond that projected in the EU.
So the IMF predict only a direct loss of around $30bn to the economy in addition to the $94bn of foreign investment already lost in the last 2 months and the £100bn lost from the FSTE 100 in the last 4 days, whilst GBPSterling still steadily falling VS USD & EUR.
I'm not as familiar with that development with farming, but it is encouraging to think there might be evidence that CAP payments could be sustained.
Music industry - see pic related. The UK music industry is increasingly dependent on live music / other non-recording incomes because of pic related. While major artists will likely be able to sustain increased touring costs incurred by restriction of travel/visa costs etc, smaller acts will not which will inevitably make it harder for new non major label acts to break both from UK->rest of world and vice versa.
Tourist visas will still be available sure, but it will still inevitably have an impact on tourism revenues.
Props for being the first reasoned 'leave' position I've encountered out of 30 or so individuals though, who have all at the crux of it had xenophobia and the heart of their position (I'm sure you know as the UK in non-Schengen and already has control of it's borders for non-EU citizens and would of course still be subject to EU freedom of movement laws were she to stay in the EEA, as stated in the sky/IMF article you posted, brexit would essentially have no effect on immigration numbers into the UK)

Actually barely anyone says it would be detrimental long term. The only people who do are the sort who are pulling the sort of ridiculous calculations that Osborne pulled when he suggested that households would loose money from leaving the EU. Even Desutche Bank, JP Morgan and the IMF's own figures and analysts says that the UK would do well in the long term.
The idea that the current currency market fluctuation is a result of Brexit is nonsense; currency markets have been on a downwards trend globally for the last year or so; the Euro is suffering a similar problem at the moment. There are some concerns over uncertainty, but those would be given time to work out over the two years we have until we can legally leave the EU under the current Treaty arrangement. Plenty of time for calm management.
I don't buy that about small bands or gigs. The argument that small bands or live gigs would suffer falls flat on it's face when you look at who actually plays these gigs If small American metal bands, or other bands from outside the EU can independently come into the EU for their own small gigs with the biggest cost barrier being plane tickets, paying and sorting out a visa (which AGAIN, may not even be necessary for short gigs or tourism) is not going to be detrimental. Again, you're also relying on a presumption that expensive, time consuming visas would be a thing when this is far from likely, and even if there were visas, would not deter smaller bands or effect life shows.
The same argument goes from Tourism. I do not feel it will have anywhere near that impact. In fact, if the Pound weakens, (not necessarily a bad thing for exports/manufacturing), we could see a rise in tourism as people take advantage of the weak pound.
In essence, I understand your concern, but a lot of the predictions are from sources who benefit greatly from the EU and are no more binding than previous economic predictions when I suspect the economy will carry on as normal.
>>77854386
Actually, remind her that the EU introduced import duties on importing weeb stuff from Japan. Leaving the EU could actually make importing figures or models or other weeb trash cheaper.
>>77853621

>>77852800
Underrated keks.
>>77853639
Also, the idea that Britain wouldn't be able to control immigration or be forced to accept freedom of movement with a free trade agreement is something I don't accept. The EU has three free trade deals with Mexico, Columbia and South Korea; free movement is not part of any of them.
>>77854833
Whatever happens, the EU won't be giving us any trade agreement in order to try and keep all the other states in line, even if it takes a huge chunk out of Germany's exports.
>>77855087
If that's the case then we still come out better as it's more financially suitable for us to pay the WTO tariff (which would be between 1.5 and 4%) on goods rather than pay the EU membership fee, in addition to winning back sovereignty and freeing up the Brussels funding to help adapt to the new paradigm.
And Brussels will not fight a trade war with us. They have too much to lose and would also be smacked by the WTO, plus it would cause a lot of unrest within the EU itself; too many countries rely on high end British manufacturing and on selling goods to Britain, especially French farmers who would lose a massive chunk of their CAP payments.
>>77853605

>And Brussels will not fight a trade war with us.
They'll try to, but the industries of the nation states will lose their shit.
>>77855384
By the way, here's the figures taken from a forum:
UK GDP = £2 Trillion
UK exports = 17% of GDP = £353 Billion
of which 44% goes to EU = £155 Billion
Most important EU destinations are Germany, France and Netherlands, who take over 55% of our exports to EU. Their weighted average tariffs are 1.5%, 1.5% and 1.5% respectively. Taking that as the rate for all exports to EU, the tariff due on £155 billion would actually be £2.3 billion.
As it is our gross (pre rebate) contribution to EU is around £18 billion, falling to £10.5 billion post rebate and around £9 billion post CAP (farming and fishing) subsidies (but before one off grants etc)
So we're paying over 3 times the export tariffs in membership fees. In what world does this make any sense?
>>77854084
Doing God's work, my crooked-tooth friend
>>77855698
And we'll see another example of why we should not be in the EU. Faced with a decision to make a pragmatic choice in favour of their economy and the people of the EU or make a gesture to punish Britain for threatening the Federal Project, which way will they go?
