Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. Currently the only Protestant church that holds on to traditionalist values, while emphasising German American identity. They're not too common though, so you might have trouble finding local gatherings. Of course, if you want to go full NatSoc, you could always become a Positive Christian, given they denounce the entire Old Testament.

I go to a Serb Orthodox Church and I think I am one of the few that is part Serbian. Went to a party with people from Church and I was the only one that was even part Serbian. Part of the service will be in Russian and they should book so you can follow along in English, since you are new, the Priest will be happy to talk with you after the blessing.
Going to a Greek Orthodox church might have more English since very few speak Greek. Check your area for American Orthodox Church and it will be all English. Grew up Methodist converted to Orthodoxy. Graduated from a Lutheran college, Orthodoxy is what I have found the most fulfilling.
Catholicism if you're into historic traditions and organization.
Orthodox is pretty based.
Lutheran is cool if you really hate Catholics.
Baptist is normie tier. Good core doctrine and beliefs, but each church has its own philosophy.

Which translation of the Bible is recommended for newcomers? Lately I've been feeling like I really need to make time to read it. I'd rate myself a fairly strong reader, if that matters.

Since I only use english translations on /pol/, I'm not that familiar on the matter but English standard version ESV seems to have good combination of modern language and loyalty to original text.

The Bible is distinctly Calvinist in it's theology though stressing the absolute sovereignty of God.
Orthodox seems to be the only denomination that focuses on mysticism and the metaphysics of faith. I study Theology in university, and denominations have always interested me. In my opinion, the clear separation of the material world from the metaphysical is what arguably makes Orthodoxy pure, especially in the sense of a stoic and overall peaceful practice
