Ive been to Iraq and Afghanistan. I've fought against human beings in each land. After fighting them, killing them, being killed by them, and listening to them. You gain an admiration for your enemy. Almost like a sense of respect.

It'll suck at first, in the Army you do shower drills for the first few days, where the Drill Sergeants literally just stand in the bathroom shouting at you to wash yourself faster. It's dumb. After a few days they stop doing this and showering pretty much becomes an on your own time thing.

5-7 hours, depends on fire guard roster and/or having charge of quarters or staff duty. Also depends on what you might be doing for training the next day, but at least in the Army, they are pretty decent at allowing you a reasonable amount of sleep.
