Hopefully soon, but I admit we're probably 20, maybe even 30 years away from that being a reality. Not very likely it'll happen until Norwegians at least somewhat begin to realise that the status quo is unsustainable.

Your pic is about Europe but your thread is about EU, that's why I brought it up. But the remain supporters for Britain always talk about Europe and how this kills European cooperation and trade. They use rhetoric to make it sound like the only union and agreement Europeans can have are through Brussels. Even if people know that it isn't so they mash it and mash it until it becomes part of the unconscious.

>>77491885
We have literally no representation in a parliament that decides a whole lot of our laws. Norway is obligated to follow approx. 75% of the laws, without having a say. We have a completely fucked up currency, and we're losing out crucial revenue in the mid-to-late stages of our oil boom - the very thing which is supposed to finance the welfare state for the years to come. No joke, we need the Euro.

Consider this.
We blindly follow almost every EU law.
The only thing that would really change if we were to join, would be that we would have to share our money with them.

I don't think you quite get it. We chose to be in that situation. If we'd actually become a member, we'd have a say, but apparently that's not something to at all worry about.

>The only thing that would really change if we were to join, would be that we would have to share our money with them.
The pension fund would be off-limits, I thought that was pretty obvious. It's not like we're not already paying a membership fee to Brussels for being apart of the EFTA, now is it? I can't seem to find any recent statistics, but we're actually among the countries that pay the most already per capita. Norway joining the EU would not only have benefits for us, but it would mean one more strong and resilient economy in the common market for the rest to trade with. Wealth-creation.

>What exactly do you think we would gain from joining?
Parliamentary representation, even stronger economic ties with the largest economies in our region of the world, easier access to cooperation with our neighbors. It's that simple. Not to mention TTIP.

Neither the "europe of nations" guys nor the "federal europe" guys succeeded.

The status quo is maintained for the sake of a few businessmen, bankers, and multiculti ideologues. This mess needs to die!
We must unite, yes, we must: everywhite with a quarter of a brain understands it. But, on what values? Democracy? Peace? Equality?
Who speaks like that? Women. And jews. And all their nonwhite pet minor races they use to sell us their deadly lies.

I see you dream in your picrel, OP. You're not a faggot. But a naive person you sure are. We need a continental empire on this side of the planet, just to balance the bitter hardworking ants on the other end of the Old World, that see us as challengers in perdition.

Do you want the Chinese to rule over your children's children, /pol/ack? Don't be a silly nationalist à la papa, don't hold stupid views. Do not believe our postcard-sized countries can stay relevant in the dawn of this new epoch.

The jews are morons who think they will always be able to rule over the non white hordes forever. They should be ashamed of themselves. One day Omar al-Babouchi will overthrow their shitty lobbies and make pyramids of their heads. Why jews stayed with the white man, historically? Well, because if their had ever been with whoever else, they would have been removed immediately. We're the best thing that ever happened to these hook-nosed prententious cowards.

We must build this New Europe. We must gather this collective will of ours, mobilize this spark of genius, this collective self. We must realize the conditions for a white future.
If we do not unite, we will all die.

There is no alternative. Unite or die

Somewhat, you already have the EU trying to distribute the "refugees" Merkel so kindly invited and the EU threatening to kick member-states like Poland and Hungary out of the EU and cut their money and saying that they are "undemocratic" because they don't accept the refugee quota bullshit. Once the EU gets the army they are planning to get, they will try to use the threat of force to push their policies down the throat of nations.

You're absolutely delusional if you think that joining the EU won't increase immigration.

That was actually also recommended by our very own ministry of health, if I'm not mistaken, but I love cinnamon, personally.
>more lights on cars
Extra fog-lights on Volvo station wagons up north? They have those in Finland and Sweden, which coincidentally are part of the union. Don't see why anyone would tell us to get rid of them.

>>77502042
>the EU threatening to kick member-states like Poland and Hungary out of the EU and cut their money
Certain politicians*. Germans and Brits if I recall correctly. Not the EU as an entity. I'm not defending them, I believe that's a pretty silly reason to kick out two of the fastest growing economies in Eastern Europe.

>You're absolutely delusional if you think that joining the EU won't increase immigration.

>EU nations decide their own immigration policies. Hard to believe at times, I know, but it's true. There's literally nothing stopping your country from going "nah, let's maybe kick it down a notch".

For immigration of outside of the EU that's true. But the matter at hands is that I don't want to be subject to whatever immigration policies other countries in the EU have. We've seen in the past 12 months that it's a shitty idea to let every fuckwit travel through this continent with no checks whatsoever. All the things that were introduced with the EU or parallel to the EU of even before the EU have always had grave drawbacks. The Euro is shit and empoverished the south, Schengen has made half of Germany a freebe for south-eastern european thieves and also allowed for the fugee crisis to get a hold. And there are many more.
Every single one of these policies has led to problems and the only solution they come up with is "more integration". Well, maybe we could have less integration for once? Maybe these things could have been solved if we had common police-work done or a functioning EU-border patrol but, frankly, I don't want to entangle myself too much with countries in the southern balkans or have southern italians come here whenever they please.
Germany is one of the countries that had to take the brunt of all the problems that other EU countries let happen by being useless arseholes. The Greece border patrol didn't want any help from the EU, yet their fucking police chief for keeping the sea clean was not on his post for the last fucking 12 months. Italy just gave all the people that landed on their shores a train ticket to Germany. The EU is not a set of countries that even _want_ to be in a union. They just want to offload their problems on other countries. Right now France wants Germany to pay for their labour market and Italy wants the banking union so that their savors can directly our money.

>We must unite, yes, we must: everywhite with a quarter of a brain understands it.

Bullshit. We can stand as distinct sovereign countries for as long as we wish. This whole panic about huge countries, rising up in the east to crush us, is bollocks. They said the same thing about Japan in the 80s that they are saying about China now. It's absolutely identical. We can cooperate and have common scientific projects and what not; no problem, whatsoever.
But this forced political union where one central authority decides for our whole wonderful continent is just crap and it will always be. Napoleon couldn't do it and Brussels won't be able to, either.
>>
Scrolling up and reading what I wrote, I don't think I did a really good job of getting my main points across. Replying to everyone is not easy.

>Norway follows a whole bunch of laws its people has absolutely no say in. Becoming a member fixes that.
>I don't actually believe the European Union is a perfect organisation. It needs to be kept in a position where we can allow it to reform. The more democratic, the better.
>The Norwegian Krone is very unstable, due to being linked directly with the Dollar and the price of crude oil. We're losing out on a fuck-ton of income because we're not being smart and adapting. We have a heavily resource-based economy, whether we want to admit it or not.
>In general, I believe we have a lot to gain from partnering up with our neighbors. Not just from trade. Norway is more than capable of punching above its wait in terms of size vs influence. That's a guarantee.

There are positives and negatives to everything. I never said it was likely that it would happen in the near future, nor did I ever say I wanted it instantly, but if we'd pull our heads out our asses and consider that there actually are long term benefits to joining one of the most influential, value-creating and game-changing political unions in human history, we'd come a lot further as a country and importantly as a nation. Norway has historical reasons to be weary of outside power, and I get that. But pretending that we haven't at all benefited from cooperating is idiocy.
