Islam is a fundamentally different to Christianity not only when it comes to issues of violence but directness. The New Testament is for the most part a collection of stories hence when it comes to applying that to civil society a great deal of extrapolating is required (one of the reasons why there is such diversity in it) however Islam is very direct it is a message - literally a warning that contains very specific commandments that you just dont get in the bible particulary when it comes to dealing with women, inheritance and non believers.
With Christianity theres always the question of "is this story something we should apply literally, in part or at all" with Islam its direct - no need for interpretation. Hence why its so monolithic compared to Christainity

Maybe muslim governments wielding the same power would be even worse but its a theoretical question as groups that attain such power, like the us has, attacin it for certain reason that might be a more compassionate view. meaning that fora jewish country to ever attain such power thye would have to soften up on human right. This means that a comparable jewish country, holding the same power might be as humane or more humane than the US.
This is unknwon and pointless to debate.
What we do know is that the US has perticipated in many military compaigns all voer the world and is still doing so. It has dropped two nukes. we can again, argue over how justified it was or not but the point is that the US did and still does perticipate in conflicts that result in thousand of hundreds of dead people.

It is very possible that Islam, like nazism, or communis, or any other ideology, can make people feel braver, promising some higher good and ensuring them their sacrifice would be worthy but that does not mean that at the moment of fighting when they are fighting or injured or dying they do not fear death.

Again: There are not Dr. Evil "LAZZZZERRRRS" in real life. If nukes are launched, they will likely do serious damage, unless their delivery device fails.
