She's a free woman?

Moronic cunt passes a background check and complains that she was able to buy a gun because of it.

SHOCK AND HORROR

At least she has trigger dicipline.

It's tough to say what she meant by that, because background checks alone take like 15-20 minutes.

Affluent middle aged white woman, SJW, with no criminal history just shitloads of bitching buys a gun after publicly swearing she'd never use one and will destroy it after buying it.

She's as hard as whipped cream. Oh no.

It's more like they know she has too much to lose by using it for anything other than self defense with her being rich, white, entitled.

A law abiding US citizen who passed a federal background check bought a legal item and used acted on her god given, and constitutionally protected right to bear arms.

She's probably showing how ridiculously easy it is to buy a gun in America.

Daily reminder that GUNS are the problem that are causing mass shootings, not Islam.

Adam Lanza, James Holmes, Elliot Rodger, Dylann Roof - were any of those guys Muslim? No. Did they have RIDICULOUSLY EASY access to guns? Yes.

All of them LEGALLY BOUGHT GUNS (apart from Lanza who used his mother's LEGALLY PURCHASED guns)

Americans are fucking insane and can't recognise that the rest of the Western world a) has banned guns long ago and b) has seen a MASSIVE decrease in gun attacks since doing so.

Liberals have never cared about the safety of the people; just that they submit to their unrealistic utopian ideals and adopt their slave morality. The UK may be the crime capital of europe, but to them it's all good so long as nobody is armed and capable of upsetting the status quo, be this an armed revolt or a media sensationalized shooting which accounts for a statistically minuscule portion of the deaths in whatever country they may be in.

In light of seeing calls for Gun Control on twitter and other social media it seems important to remind everyone of the following:
There are an estimated 357 million guns(1), and 310 million citizens with one in three owning a firearm (2), making 103.3 Million gun owners in the USA. According to CNN there are 33,636 gun related deaths (3), of which nearly 60% of all of them were suicide (4). This leaves us with 13,455 (rounded up) gun violence related deaths. Which in a population of 310 million equates to killing 0.00004343% (repeating) of the US population in 2015.
However, 48.9% of Violent Crime is Gang Related (5). So from what I can tell, avoid bad areas and gang related activity and you should live an entire life free of lead made holes.

Mass shootings DON'T FUCKING MATTER
Mass shootings will happen regardless of whether there are laws or not. The people that, even for some fucking reason cannot get a legally purchased gun, will still either get an illegal one or just make IEDs to use instead. They will find a way to kill a lot of people, because that is their sole purpose in life when they've decided to do it.

However, gun laws increase homicide rates and crime rates. This is something that can be seen on every country in the planet.
>>
>>77393927
Yeah that's why they are popular pretty much.

The AR-15 is literally the cheapest modern .223/5.56 center-fire semi automatic rifle.

I mean, the Ruger Mini-14 can come chambered in either .223/5.56. You can get 30 round box mags for it. Hell it was even used in a couple of mass shootings. But it starts at like 1200 bucks.

DE here this is wrong
Waiting periods are a state thing.
The only waiting period at the Federal level is a check on the FBI to stop them from refusing to run the background chdck effectively denying people their rights.
It last 3 days on only applies if the FBI delays your background check to do more digging.
This usually happens only if you have some criminal record that doesn't bar you from owning guns and if the FBI fails to complete their investigation in that 3 day period you get the gun anyway.

The worst act of mass murder (not terrorism) was the happy land arson where the perpetrator did exactly as I described.

The main reason these people use guns is because of the glory the media gives them when they go down in a hail of bullets or take their own life.

The media needs to stop making these fucks world famous and we need to remove gun free zones and encourage people to be prepared to put down these sick people with extreme prejudice.

What's with libtards in UK and Canada who think guns are "banned" in either of those places?

Like honestly. 25% of Canadian households have at least 1 firearm. I think it's about 33% in the US. They use the "total guns owned" statistic to gloss over that fact, but gun owners might own more guns in the states (probably because there's less red) but there's not really an inordinate amount of gun ownership.

>The problem is America's fucked up health system and massive amounts of poverty.
Poverty has a very very low correlation to crime in America.

The strongest correlator to crime in America is being raised by a single and or abusive parent(s).
This trend is newr identical for all races which explains why blacks have much higer crime rates than whites because they have a much higer rate of broken homes.

Which is almost entirely due to welfare which ken like Thomas Sowell and Walter E Williams have extensively written about in various extremely well sourced books.

But politicians won't ever talk about this because it is an untouchable topic.

Center-fire rifles are restricted to 5 rounds with the sole exception of the M1 Garand which you can use the full 8 it was designed for.

However.

If the magazine is designed for use in a handgun, but fits in a rifle, then you can have 10 rounds. I.e. LAR-15 "Handgun" magazines, can be legally loaded with 10 rounds, (handgun magazine limit in Canada) and popped into an AR-15, giving you a 10 round magazine via magical loophole.

Then if the magazine is designed for an entirely different caliber (within the 5 round limit) and happens to work with the gun you are using, and you happen to be able to stuff more of said rounds into it, and it happens to still work, that is also legal.

So there's this .500 magnum AR-15 upper you can get or something like that, and you can stuff 14 .223s into it, and it will still feed all 14 rounds into the gun without jamming.

That's a legal 14 round magazine.

How the hell do you keep the stacks staggered for feeding?

Also this set of laws seems unnecessarily silly if there are so many easy loopholes. What exactly are they supposed to accomplish?

You guys have access to way more powerful semi-automatic rifles than a .223 anyway. A 5-round mag of 7.62x54r probably is every bit as statistically deadly as a 10-round of .223.

I tend to think of it as being any moral system which seeks to diminish natural tendencies in man in order to maintain the current order above all else rather than accepting these tendencies as natural checks to the ruling classes power. Modern liberals utilize the idea that it's better to be "oppressed" than to be in the category of the "oppressor" (terms which they render almost meaningless through overuse), but the west has classically utilized a system in which passions are placed limited by more limited civilized ideals which are distinct and often opposed to the wild virtues which men are inclined towards.

You know who else has seen a massive decrease in gun attacks?
The United States of America. Homicide has been dropping like a stone, along with all violent crime, since the 1980s. At a rate, I would point out, that is just as fast if not faster than the increasingly safety of most of Europe.

If it weren't for Leftist strongholds that breed colossal amounts of violent crime, we'd be perfectly safe by now, AND we would still have our freedom.

Not really
Prior to welfare black illegitimacy rates were about the same as whites.

The study in question controlled for all of these things and found exactly as a said.
Crime rates between races are nearly identical when you control for this correlating variable.

The reason blacks were disproportionately affected by welfare programs is a combination of simply being poorer and the favt that Democrats deliberately targeted blacks with these policies because "I'll have those niggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years".

Allows for a more compact rifle due to the ability of having a folding stock.
It requires less intense cleaning because all of the carbon is kept in the gas port instead of being dumped into the chamber like with direct gas impingement.

It is the really anymore reliable(even less so in adverse conditions) than an AR but this can be argued that it is due to the AR being around for 50+ years and the designed being all but perfected.

The ergos according to a friend of mine says it is Significantly superior to any AR he's handled but I'd say there are aftermarket parts for ARs that would have the same effect.

In the big it is really about personal preference

Never stress tested my mini, but there are a couple of minor differences from the m1a/m14 that could mitigate things here.

The piston/charging handle assembly is one piece first of all, which allows for fewer places for sand to get caught. Any open space other than the actual chamber that sand could get would be loosely-fitted shafts or sockets that don't really affect operation too much.

Sand right in the chamber I don't see doing too much either unless you have the thing tuned for slow action. Stock op rod spring on those things is pretty light, and an FTE with plain old UMC ammo would be the last thing I'd worry about. Also they eject from the top, whatever difference that might make.

Only common failure I've noticed on mine after about 2k rounds is a spent cartridge actually landing right back down into the chamber before the bolt can close, which is hilarious, and charging it fixes that right up and takes all of a quarter of a second.

Still, yeah, given the choice, an AR is a better choice for trusting your life to in an emergency between the two.

I have no idea. AR-15 is restricted. Restricted license is too much red tape, pretty much only sport shooters ever bother with it.

But yeah, there's lots of deadlier shit. Like M305s and shit .

And then a lot of people will go and modify their magazines back to their original capacity anyway.

I say that cars are the real cause.

Did you know that all of those shooters rode in cars, legally bought cars, to the place where they shot their victims.

The failure point is exactly the same on both rifles and the M1 garand

It is where the OP rod runs. Even a minor amount of grit in there can completely seize the action.
Soldiers in WWII Korea and Nam were trained to specifically fall in a manner to avoid their rifles falling in mid for this reason.

Link related shows the mini14 failing in an identical mechanical manner as the M1a did in the previous video

Weight of the naked drum is not too bad, 1.25 lbs and when fully loaded it's obviously a lot heavier but it doesn't affect balance of the gun like you would think, so accuracy is the same. I mostly use it for blasting though so accuracy isn't really my concern.

The only thing I don't like about it is you have to load it with a loading device that puts pressure on the feed lips or else it'll fuck the drum. But at least you can run steel case in it fine and you don't have to fuck around with graphite.
