I took my Bible to school in middle school. Back in 2006, good times, desu. Teacher even wanted to talk about it with me. He was the most based teacher I ever had.
If it's true, it's not unreasonable, because it's almost certainly the result of the parents coaching the kid to do it, which is fucked up. I highly doubt a seven year old would start loudly proclaiming the faith of his own volition without prompting.
