1st lot came over in the 60s and 70s fleeing the Islamic revolutions in the middle east. Doctors, lawyers, scientists, engineers, teachers, scholars. Educated, cultured, informed, reasonable, peaceful people who are not easily lead by politicians or religious leaders. You can still find many of these old folks on the Edgware Road in London, drinking their coffee, smoking their pipe, reading their foreign and domestic newspapers. They are very interesting to talk to, they came to the UK to avoid being beheaded or crucified.
2nd kind, came over in the 90s and 2000s, not educated, not cultured, fanatical, easily lead by politicians and religious leaders, unable to think for themselves, unable to take criticism, prone to violence, low skill, low wage. These types are easy to radicalise.
The 1st lot cant believe we have let the 2nd lot in to our country when they fled thousands of miles and left the country they loved to get away from them the first time.

I have met, studied, and worked with countless Muslims. Before 9/11 there was no real issue. I even had study friends who wore the hijab, and we joked and worked and nobody gave a shit one way or another.

After about 2010 I started noticing that more and more Muslims I was interacting with were becoming more and more pious. My friend from uni stopped drinking, started observing Ramadan, etc. He's still the same person, he's just way more passionate about Israel/politics than he used to be. Still one of my best bros, even if we disagree on some political issues.
He was terrified in the last 2 or so years of Harper's run as PM; he kept bringing up Japanese internment camps, etc. The Conservatives really drove him to engage politically, as they did for most Muslims I know. As a result he's developed a persecution complex and has SJW leanings.
Generally in my experience Muslims in Toronto are no different from Catholics, though. Sorry, no ISIS I can see.

I have mixed experiences, like I said I have some muslim friends who are like your average joe, open-minded and friendly. There are a lot of muslim assholes though but I don't think that their religion has a strong correlation to them being that way, I think it's the lack of integration here in Germany.

I was actively disliked and bullied in school for being Western. No one really bothered or cared to find out where I came from; American or not, it's all the same to them. Some classmates made fun of my mother for being white and blond. She was actively met with disgusted or confused stares wherever she went.

Yes, many of them. Before I was redpilled, in my early 20's I was fucking a 2nd generation muslim. Her mum was an amazing person, worked her ass off to get to where she was. Her dad died years before, and in the eyes of her family, she was 'low'.
So she worked hard, bought a house in London. Then bought some more buildings in London, multi-millionaire. Her daughter (who I was fucking) was muslim in name only, didn't give a fuck about the religion at all. Her mum paid it lip service, but thats it.
Her male relatives, including her older brothers...now they were absolute dickheads. They hated the fact that a white man was ploughing their sister, and said as much on multiple occasions. They treat their mum like dirt, they treat their sister like dirt. She told me of all the beatings she and her mum had suffered to the oldest brother, who saw himself as 'head of the house'.
It slowly started to redpill me. These 2nd generation muslim males, born and raised in the UK, were still adhering to muslim ideals, and treating their mum....a meek, mild, hardworking woman, like shit.

I live in a big city with high Muslim densitiy and about 1/3 of the class consisted of Muslims (mostly from Turkey).
There was this one guy in my class in 10th grade who was constantly mocked by others because he was a Kurd and how they don't have a state and all that stuff. He was pretty calm about most verbal harassments (my guess is he was probably used to it) and you could talk to him about pretty much everything.
He sometimes criticized Islamic things like how it's bad for your health to fasten during the hottest month without drinking water or how niqabs are oppressing women and the likes, but I never discussed too much about it (I wasn't really redpilled back then).
I recall that he was leftist, demanding equal rights for both sexes, the right for abortion and so on, but overall pretty chill dude.
