I give him credit for criticizing neocons before it was cool, but his critiques of conservative America ring hollow to me now. I don't think the average Joe is going to trip on mushrooms and become a sitar maestro that saves the world from war and turmoil.
He was very bluepilled on human nature in much the same way that John Lennon was when he wrote "Imagine". He was like an angry, ranting hippie and made as much sense as one too.
