You build about 10 tanks, dump them on one tile, punch through it and spread to the victory points. The AI can't react in time and you win before even the frontline is broken..
Its even easier if you do a naval invasion because they're still unable to react.

If the ultimate aim was the easy conquest of Southern Ireland (which devolved to 3rd world borderline theocracy after leaving the UK) by the Allies resulting in a reunified United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland post-war then yes it would absolutely have worked.
How the fuck could Southern Ireland have invaded Britain which at the time still had the largest Navy in the world and was fully mobilised for war? That's before we even mention the fact that despite the Dublin government having Nazi sympathies the majority of the Irish population were pro-British with many thousands of Irishmen ignoring their despicable government and volunteering to join the British military so they could fight - with many going awol from the Irish 'Army' so they could join the UK.

In this game hard difficulty is playing as Italy and joining Axis or doing the same as Japan.
This is specially true if you raise world tension prematurely, because USA will enter the war early. And they are really really strong. As is Soviet Union in 1942 onwards.
The game can get very hard if you play it historically or even slower than historically. AI is not that strong right now though. Could use a lot of improvement.
