Training was intense because I didnt speak french. Over all the training was tiring as expected but nothing out of the ordinary. Watch Bear Grylls escape to the legion, it shows him going through the training so you can get a better understanding. Mostly friendly and good fun, the Russians kept to them selves but everyone else mixed well

Medicals are strict but unless you have a terminal illness you should do fine

Former Marine and then PMC here, have been considering the legion but to be honest from the legionnaires I have talked to and what I have seen the training and how they operate is extremely sub-par.
How did the former US Military folks in your unit think of the Legion?
The Marines I have talked to about it said they enjoyed it because of what it is but the reality of the fighting prowess of the Legion and their training is far different from the legend; the exception MAYBE being the 2nd REP.
Currently on a break from war-ing going back to school full-time but considering either returning to PMCing since I've gotten multiple emails about returning with Triple Canopy or joining Patriot Group since my old boss helps run them now and the change-over in Iraq contracts is happening now so they are trying to man-up, or going into a maritime career, or joining the Legion.

Reminds me of the L89A2 (semi-auto L85A2) I handled years ago in the cadets. The first proper rifle I trained with. I struggled back the since I was short at the time. When I visited the US, I used the M4 for the first time. I nearly threw that thing up because I thought it was heavier. Still prefer the L89 though due to ergonomics. I need to try the FAMAS my man.

I have been frequenting firing ranges and hare hunting a while ago until my apprenticeship took to much time. I remember my Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 I had on monthly finance when I was 16.
