This. Besides calculating GDP, I literally learnt nothing that holds true in reality. It's basically a bunch of theories made to look true with fancy graphs and formulas. It's more of a social science that acts scientific with formulas and graphs.

there are far too many variables to ever make any theory of any discipline (except pure sciences) hold true in reality. Theories of economics dont pretend to be able to answer all those variables. The point here is to gradually find theories that get rid of as many assumptions as possible so that we can understand the economical world. Economics graduates failing to understand need to kill themselves 6 million times.
Governments only hire you if you want to create socialist policies. It would be like asking a scientist to deny global warming.
