Looking into the accounts, they're all spambots that grab random news headlines. Not sure what purpose the botnet currently serves, but if you go to each of the individual accounts, they aren't very political, aside from a random bit here and there. It's mostly "13 great tips for better skin" kind of shit.

They're probably just keeping the bots on an autopost algorithm for now so that they don't get deactivated by Twitter. Usually bots start off cool like this- they friend each other, post random shit that they crawl google for, rinse and repeat for a few weeks, then they start trying to add gullible people and spam the shit out of them with ads for sunglasses and shit.
