I live in the western suburbs of Sydney, so we don't get as much of a sea-breeze as the city so the temps on average are a bit hotter. Last summer we had a few +40 celsius days, quite the scorcher.
The actual city isn't that great in my opinion but if you don't mind most of the people being Asians or Arab and having slow internet speeds it's alright. Oh, and everything costs a lot more here than in America. Everything.
