Surely this is bait. I went there, the place is damned immaculate compared to every American city I have been to. There was not a single place in Tokyo where I felt unsafe and I was never bored. The service in all businesses was fast and great in general. I was never bothered in public or panhandled at. People helped me tremendously and went so far out of their way since I could not speak Japanese, even when they could not speak English. So many people were genuinely interested about me and where I was from, they tried so hard to converse with me and were so informative and helpful. I have never been to a more beautiful country full of amazing things and incredibly kind, caring people. Call me a weeb all you like, it was a transformative experience. Tokyo is my single most favorite place on earth. We should all strive to be more like Japan.

Some other things I suppose worth considering would be the hikikomori (poetically butchered the spelling) problem in Japan and the population issue that might come from that. Also population density is pretty annoying, and while yes, we have that in the states, not as much as in Japan.
