Many states prevent by law Hispanics being labeled as anything other than 'white' for the purpose of crime reporting. This was the original reason the FBI considered all Hispanics 'white' for crimes committed as they get all data from the states.
If/when the FBI breaks out Hispanics in to their own group for committing crimes keep this in mind as the number is likely to be heavily under estimated.
