I really, genuinely think the republican party is either going to split outright or have a massive overhaul. Trump has effectively decimated the party completely between racists/xenophobes, fiscal conservatives, religious conservatives, and anti-liberals. There's pretty much no way the party can keep a stable rhetoric anymore, especially with half the party's members wanting Trump to fuck off and half wanted him to stay in. It's going to lead to a lot of divisions, infighting, and terribly weak candidates for years to come.

The most I've ever done to sway my students is have a conversation about why college really isn't right for everyone.
