True, Christians are no longer bound to the laws in the books of Moses. There are things in the last three books of moses that can be helpful, but most of it is the laws the Jews are supposed to follow (though most don't)

Verse 1:If there be found among you, WITHIN ANY IF THY GATES (obviously this requires context to know what gate we're talking about) which the LORD thy God GIVITH THEE (ooh so a gate God gave someone; God hasn't given me any gates so it's correct to assume some jackass is taking this out of context in order to defend Islam)
Verse 5: Then shalt thou bring forth that man or woman, which have committed that wicked thing, UNTO THY GATES, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones till they die.
So what we learn from actually reading the chapter is that at a specific time (like, 2000 bc), in a specific place, (Jerusalem) God commanded a specific generation of people (Jews living in 200 bc Jerusalem) to kill anybody who worships false Gods ONLY in said specific place (Jerusalem)
This is nothing like the conquest of Islam and the fact that this is the worst you can find in the whole Bible is indicative of which religion is more violent.
