In HoI2 you could ignore Transport capacity it had very minimal effect and you'd usually go over it anyway. Like here I'm at almost 200% TC.
IC is easy, just fill 100% IC up with that for first 2 years, then build your tanks/infantry.
Resources were never a problem, because you could just stockpile as much as you wanted before the war started, same goes for oil. None of this is hard. It just takes a few trial and error runs, I mean the first time you play you might not realize that you need to stockpile resources before war and run out. Or you might not realize that you need to build IC to be competitive (although I think that in this particular game I didn't even bother building IC).
Also as far as I know, the AI was really incompetent at doing naval invasions so I'd usually just station France and shit as Germany for RP purposes.There was no practical need to do it.
HoI2 is really easy once you know how it works, certainly easier than HoI3 or HoI4.

The symbol is outlawed in many countries. It is easier just to replace it than to risk some legal battle or problems with retailers.
It is easily moddable anyway.
Also, the game is pretty good for a paradox launch. They still need to work a bit more on some AI-moments, but the battle-plan system works much better than I expected and is actually pretty fun and easy to use.

Yes, HoI3 is more complicated. It's not deep, though. The so called complication is in the form of an unnecessarily cumbersome OOB system for passive bonuses.
Great for roleplay but it makes the game unplayable unless you're autistic and very time consuming even if you are. It's just not very fun or interesting in the end, because the AI in that game is horrendously bad. Makes HoI4 AI look godlike.
The complicated OOB system doesn't really require any thought or knowledge to use effectively either.

Just yesterday I was looking at Gettysburg: Ultimate General on Steam, where you could play as the Confederates and try to wreck the Union. Or Unity of Command, or Company of Heroes, or Men of War, or a hundred other games packed with Nazi and Confederate flags that the player can control.
