>Venezuela ends its price controls and lowers its taxes to 5%ish
>Closes up most of its regulations
>Multiple industries are re-privatized
>Defaults on all its debts and is never allowed to borrow again
>Allows foreign trade again
>Industries come back
>Vuvuzela's GDP growth goes back to 10%
>Poverty rate drops from 100% to 5%

You know this is what happened in Chile, it'll be fine.

A problem is that the economy is controlled by a cooperative few. Even if the facade changes to privatization and democracy, substantive change will be needed to disempower those dominating Venezuelan economy and government.

This is the same problem through out Africa and Eastern Europe.

>Went socialist, A LOT
>Like, not even the european or american socialist kind with a slow death, they went full price controls, almost no foreign trade other than oil, massive deficits, and insane regulations(it was forbidden to start a business without personal approval from chavez)
>Could only finance this with huge debt and money printing because government can't magically give you free stuff(they had an almost 15% budget deficit)
>Ended up having to pay their debts eventually
>Economy collapsed under the weight of the debt

The worst part is, venezuela was not even a low poverty country under the socialist cocaine-addict high, it still had a higher poverty rate than Chile, a free-market economy.

im one of the lucky ones that has internet all day long, but my friends usually have no internet for 4 to 6 hours a week depending on the isp and your state, this is one of the "important" states so we get the least of the shit, other places could have a day or two a week, or some of them just dont have at all. It depends on how important is the state or city you live in.
