Why don't you own a gun?

Especially now in a time where terrorist and racial attacks are at an all time high?
>>
What's a good first gun? Preferably not an overpriced AR-15
>>
>>76211971
M&P 15 is good, but I'd highly recommended building your own.

Then again most people aren't very good at assembling small things, especially something intimidating like a gun.

Yeah just buy an M&P15
>>
>>76211880
If I could own a gun in germany? But it's not possible in this shitty country..
>>

>>
>>76211971
The only major thing to avoid is polymer lower receivers (other than the GWACS, which is good. I own one). Here's a good, cheap complete. I've owned Deltons and they work great for the money:

https://www.deguns.net/del-ton-sport-lite-for-sale-848456001925-sale-dti-p/dtsportlt.htm

Get a cheap .22 (Ruger 10/22, Marlin 795, or whatever, really) for practice and plinking, too.

You can own manual actions up to .50 BMG (or some equivalent, I forget) in bongistan. Start working on your license, get a .22 and a .308 and a shotgun.
>>
>>76211880
i have a pistol and a shotgun. no AR or sniper unfortunately
>>

Mosins, K31/K11's, Enfields, Pretty much any .22 rifle, and M48s,
As for handguns, Glocks, Makarovs, Browning Hipowers, and Police trade in Beretta's
That's all I can think of off the top of my head
>>
>>76214474
Mosins aren't a good deal anymore, unfortunately. You can get a cheap modern .308 already drilled and tapped for a scope for the same or slightly more.

I own like 20 funz and I don't afraid of no terries. Nigs maybe but mostly where i live is druggies. Guns are just a good investment, like silver or gold or something. There value tends to keep up with inflation and every election they go up. easy money. Non-americans are so jelly and mis informed. about 50% of US home own guns yet going in public, i've seen like 2 open carry in the last 25 years. Just cause people own guns doesnt mean they walk around with them. Like owning a hand saw or something. just cause you own one doesnt mean you gotta fuck with it constantly

>>
I live in Suffolk county NY. What should I get that is actually legal here
>>
I'll be picking my first gun up this coming week. Shotgun since I already have a decent amount of experience with one and wanted something I could use easily in situations of apartment defense or SHTF scenarios without needing to practice too much. Pistol will be next after I get my CC permit (although I am ass at shooing them).

Choosing between a MOSBURG 590 or HATSAN ESCORT MPA after /pol/ and /k/ helped me narrow it down.

>>76215168

Floridian here. The south is ok. People tend to be friendly, but the "nice weather" is only during winter and fall. In summer you better carry a spatula to ply your balls from your legs. There's a reason they call it swamp ass.

Strongly recommend against a shotgun, then. They're comparatively very slow and complex to reload, especially under stress. I don't know why there's a perception that they're 'easier' to use. Higher recoil, heavy. Just generally more complex.

For HD and SHTF, I'd get either an AR pistol (10-11.5") or 16" midlength carbine. The shotgun really offers no practical advantage over a carbine/subcarbine, and the carbine can do a LOT more. Shotguns are better for birds and blowing hinges off.

I always hear about ammo runs and insane fear mongering and price raising in the gun market. I'd definitely like to own a firearm and have put a good bit of research into gun ownership. I'd like to purchase a rifle and a handgun before the general election. My question is whether I should wait until closer to the election to make my purchase or get something now. I'd prefer to wait until closer to November when I will be able to afford something nicer but my fear is that prices will go up. What do you guys think, arm myself now or wait a few months until I can arm myself much better?
>>
>>76216438
reloading is certainly a concern I'll give you that. Ideally there would be some clip loaded ones around like I've seen, but there arn't here and I figured it would be good to pick up something quick for now. As for the AR pistol, I'll look into it as I'm looking to get a CC class sometime soon and once I complete that I should have enough for a nice pistol as well. I've been considering revolvers lately however as their triggers a bit lighter so in theory I'll be a bit more consistant with my shots as I've been terrible with the Glocks and Barettas I've used.

After that will be a rifle. Would have gone with one initially, but there's far too much to choose from and research so I've put it on the backburner for the moment.

Cheapest PSA complete kit possible $375-400. Stainless barrel is fine if you don't plan to go out shooting a lot and just want acheap bug gun but melonite would be a bit nicer. Anderson lower for $45 plus some kind of bread sight. Getting a nice rear that'll hold zero could be $50 for a cheap flip up or $75 for a nice carry handle. A few D&H mags at $7 a piece. Hey /pol/ allow me to show you how you can legally manufacturer an untraceable, unserialized AR-15 in your very home without any gunsmithing experience.

To create your AR you will need the following items.

>AR Jig

http://www.80percentarms.com/products/80-ar-15-easy-jig

>Tool Kit

http://www.80percentarms.com/collections/lower-jigs/products/easy-jig-tool-kit

>80% Completed AR receiver

http://80percentarms.com/products/80-lower-receiver-type-iii-hard-anodized-billet-ar-15

>Router

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0048EFUV8/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1464734033&sr=8-3π=SY200_QL40&keywords=router+dewalt&dpPl=1&dpID=41MSATBmFfL&ref=plSrch

>Hand Drill

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0011XSEW6/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1464734122&sr=8-2π=SY200_QL40&keywords=dewalt+drill+cord&dpPl=1&dpID=41Qg0pUZJfL&ref=plSrch

>Lube or coolant for the drill bits

>A vise to hold the jig

After you have acquired all the pieces, watch this instructional video to help guide you in finishing your lower.

https://youtu.be/SiHdV5slQps

CONGRATULATIONS

You now have an untraceable firearm that's totally LEGAL*! Take pride in knowing you've manufactured a gun in your very home.

But we're not done yet, the fun has just begun. Now you can assemble your rifle however you'd like!
