Als je in vijf bedrijven zit zou een spreiding per sector er zo uit kunnen zien:
25% Levensmiddelen
25% Tech (Telefoons, chips, PCs)
20% Media
15% Farmaceutische industrie
15% Olie
Dit is simpelweg een voorbeeld en kan op veel manieren vormgegeven worden.
Het idee erachter is dat je op deze manier minder kwetsbaar bent.
Het enige kopen of verkopen dat je doet is als je ziet dat een of meer sectoren door schommelingen onder- of oververtegenwoordigd worden in je portefeuille en daardoor het risico toeneemt.
