The president's duties are to keep this country afloat economically and politically, ensure that the US has an extremely powerful standing military to deter invasion, and aggressively protect US interests abroad (using that military if necessary). The president has no other duties. All else is extra and unneeded. Generosity and empathy are not only unneeded, but undesirable, even. Generosity and empathy are paths to bankruptcy.

Considering most billionaires are charitable in so far as they donate to their own non-profits for the sake of tax write offs - I'm not so sure this condemnation holds so much merit.
I don't necessarily disagree with the sentiment, the guy lives lavishly. Write offs or otherwise, I question whether the fellow is otherwise interested in benefiting community. I don't see him providing valuable service, and else recycling profit into generating more valuable service(s) (and greater profit). It's all luxury product/service.
So yeah. No surprise. At least we know where he stands. Pretty much shoulder to shoulder to all the other billionaires - excepting his businesses won't really benefit from non-profits, he doesn't have much incentive to write off taxes through "charitable" donations.
