Because I can't stand corporatism. I want my government to be FDR/Eisenhower-style regulation where the government solely serves the needs of the people, especially the underprivileged. I don't want companies to be able to do whatever the fuck they want at everyone else's expense. I hate seeing wars that only exist because of lobbying, and we're fucked if we don't do anything about climate change.

No. FDR did not care for the people. He was an aristocratic son of a political family that married his cousin. His economic policies are debatable in their effectiveness, the amount of public works projects was unsustainable. It caused an crisis within the depression. He also effectively killed American diplomacy from the 30s to the 40s and only wanted to expand the role of the federal government.
He is a polished turd at best.
