If you assume computers will constantly get faster (Moore's law), than eventually we can do Universe simulation. Now, one of these three things can happen:

Scientists for decades have been saying that there must be water in order for their to be life, and obviously water is very advantageous for life here, but I think it overlooks the idea of life that might potentially evolve (biologically or technologically) beyond a need for liquid water at all, something I've never once seen a scientist suggest. In my opinion, they were hoping that by making liquid water out to be this rare requirement, they could down play how likely other life is, even if it's just microbial.
But now, more recently we've found there's actually quite a lot of liquid water in the solar system, even Mars still has water on it's surface, and now they're dragging their heels going to investigate the exact thing they themselves suggest is essential to life.

We DEFINITELY live in a virtual-reality universe. Time slows down near black holes, this is to preserve the processing power needed to keep this virtual-reality universe in existence.
