Is it still religion, or perhaps race? Have we progressed all that much, or are we still wracked with the same strife that has plagued the human condition since antiquity?

Personally I think the ideology (specifically a certain subset of ones originating around the near East) remains the most...explosive, topic right now, and shows no signs of letting up.
