Third parties are always massively over-represented in the polls, I remember last time around Gary Johnson was polling at like 10-15%, when the GE came around I think he struggled to get above 2%.
Same reason retards like Bernie do overly well in the primaries and then absolutely tank in the General Election, people are willing to vote for fringe candidates when there's nothing at stake, but when the general election rolls around, they all fall into line and vote for the two establishment (as in rep/dem) tickets, rather than the Green Party, etc.
You do understand statistics in the most basic sense, don't you?
I failed my stats once and got a D the second time and even I understand MoE and how polls like this work
