That's not true. Every smell can be eliminated. I've actually done that before as a job - fixed up houses people left covered in animal piss and shit.
You can always get the smell out. It's just an expensive fix sometimes, like you have to change the carpet. Sometimes it soaks down into the wood but you can get that smell out with cleaning chemicals.
