Marx never wanted to "abandon western culture", what you are talking about is a perversion of the original ideas, marx himself praised the progress of capitalism over previous systems like feudalism --- capitalism was supposed to be the vessel by which the peasants/farmers of the world would be educated and transformed into proletariat, which, by way of the education and training they received would be prompted to easily become class conscious.

I wasn't specific but I didn't mean to imply that Marx wanted to abandon the West. Marx indeed saw capitalism as the vehicle towards socialism and communism, but Marxists after him didn't get the eschatology they wanted after WWI and WWII. the proletariat just educated themselves and then benefited from capitalism.

Marxists now criticize Marx for being Euro-centric. one of the reasons I quit grad school is because it's dominated by Marxists who are just trying to salvage the ideology over and over again. it's sad.

To me the SJWs are just controlled opposition and a divide and conquest mechanism for the corporatist elite. Cultural dissolution just makes people more disorganized, manipulable and dependent. Globalization disempowers workers.

The whole cultural marxism thing always seemed like exaggerated to me. The rich getting richer and destroying western culture as a side effect seemed like a sufficient explanation to me.

But the idea that something similar had happened before, and that the financial interests in particular are behind this, is pretty interesting! Still not sure about the world wide conspiracy though...
