The aid we are sending is causing most of the problems there and we don't send it out of altruistic mortives. The school I work at here is funded by the Christian Relief Fund. The CRF pays 20,000 shillings a semester per student ($200) to cover their tuition. The director of the school however tells the parents of the slum kids that CRF only pays 15,000 of the 20,000 and they have to come up with the rest, he then pockets that money. Also takes the money they're given to buy books and makes the children buy their own books, as a result many don't have them.
The only organizations out here that aren't corrupt and stealing money are the ones run by white people directly. Really the only way to help out Africans is to reinstate colonization and let whites run things. Some of the locals have told me they wish the British were back, because they didn't tolerate any corruption and actually ran the government efficiently.
