A hostile, tyrannical government can't suppress an armed civilian populace.

US army has been beaten by rice farmers in Asia, goat fuckers in Afghanistan and camel jockeys in Iraq.

And every nation on the Earth would recognize the legitimacy of an insurrection and be sending them aid the second the internationally-condemned illegitimate government in Washington began deploying Death Squads from their allies in Saudi Arabia and narco cartels in Mexico and bombing "their" nation into submission.

That's the purpose of gun ownership. Tyrants can't oppress guerrillas. The Revolutionary War against England was a guerrilla, terrorist war. And it WORKED.

Do you know what constitutes a militia?
What makes it different than the standing military?
Do you know that militias are hastily thrown together in times of crisis?
Do you realize that would be hard to do if citizens didn't already have their own firearms?
Are you starting to understand why the 2nd amendment explicitly states that every citizen has the right to bear those firearms?

The manufacturing and sale of weapons needs regulated.

It has nothing to do with "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" because that's only the ownership of.

There's an easy way to refute retards against gun control.

Do you own a rocket launcher? Do you own a nuke?

You don't need an AR-15 either.

Listen up.

I don't care what Hillary has promised when she is president. There won't be any new federal gun regulations.

Want proof? Look what happened after Sandy Hook. Maryland and Connecticut created some new restrictions. In response, 10 other states relaxed restrictions! Not exactly an American Port Arthur.

If shooting 20 children won't cause major reform, what do you think will?

Yes, stricter gun control laws mean less deaths by FIREARMS, but what is fails to take into account is that a lot of the people killed in red states are criminals. The gun control state's firearms deaths are all committed BY THE CRIMINALS shooting up the place.

Impartial opinion:

Whereas I do not want to see guns becoming commonplace in the UK, I wholeheartedly believe that in a society where guns are already established, taking them away, or limiting their availability, will absolutely seem like a move designed to strip power from a populace.

It irks me when people seem to ignore this train of thought.

Kikes instinctively know that if the second amendment gets modified or repealed enough then the first amendment can be severely modified and/or repealed as well.

There is a reason why the second amendment was created and that was to protect the first amendment, how is it that I, as an Australian, can see this more clearly than you moronic liberal leftists in America.

You know I honestly hope you leftists get your way and have all your free speech taken away, then you will appreciate Orwell's words "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face, forever."

I'll see you irk, and raise you a qualm. Given a society which is a world leader in gun deaths; in which, 2nd amendment notwithstanding, the populace is ill-equipped to tackle the increasingly militarised police, let alone the actual military; isn't it possible that the fiction of good folks with guns is actually causing more harm than good?
>>
I'm on the fence about gun control. However here is my question to those in favour of more strict gun control. How many deaths is too many? As in how much do we need to restrict guns before you feel as though it's enough? When it comes to reality, especially USA we have a massive amount of fire arms here. If we made all guns illegal accept the fire arms that are already illegal do you think we would see a major drop in violent death?

What's the point of bombing the cities that they are trying to control? Sure, you'll kill enemy combatants, but you will also kill civilians in the cross fire and cause damage to infrastructure that could hurt you later on. If the city is of strategic importance, destroying major infrastructure could effectively cut off your supply lines. Tanks in a city scape would be useless as well

Suppose they don't. Suppose the actually want a registry to keep track of firearms, to make it easier to trace those used in the commission of a crime. Would that be so bad?
>>
>>75600252

This is a very good point.

However, you speak about a country in a state of war.
As long as there is peace, weapons are to be controlled.
If a citizen wants to possess a gun, he better be sane and knows how to use it.
That's a simple rule, and if well put in practice, should lead to very little problems.

BTW, you said that tyrants can't oppress guerrillas, but remember that guerrillas are led by tyrants, whom often don't want to go when war is over, weapons or not. Manicheism is not a thing here.

Today's rulers will not be the same as tomorrows. This is of course assuming that the leader you were naive enough to trust in restricting you today had no ulterior motives to start.

The US government didn't write the Second Amendment. We hardly even had a government when the Amendment was written. The Amendment was written by James Madison in an effort to end the debate over whether to adopt the current Constitution or not. It probably wouldn't even exist were it not for the pressure of the Anti-Federalists, who opposed the Constitution to begin with.

It seems to me as though your whole understanding of US government is wrong.

The only ones that can are the criminals because that's what they do.

You fucking think you can make business here? All it takes is you to make something better than those who are in power so that they can send you some obese cartel head-cutting member, with an ar 15 to stop you.

I had a good business going. But one of this fucking corrupt politicians didn't like it because one of his relatives or some shit like that was too incompetent to beat us straight so they sent 2 guys with guns and confiscated all of my fabric's machiney. Fuck that shit.

Let me shine some historical context on this.

So a well regulated militia was basically 1776'er talk for "in case of a draft" the justification is that in the event of a draft (or mandatory militia) the government could depend on two things from every male citizen:

> he will have a gun or will have the means to acquire one

>he will know how to shoot it, clean it and use it.

Today, this would mean that every citizen fit for military duty ought to own a military style assault weapon in the event of a draft.

That isn't to say everyone ought to own a gun, obviously unstable persons and felons ought not to, but in general, everyone who would be called in a draft ought to own a gun.

I would be happy to help. The difference between a magazine and a clip is that a clip acts as a loading mechanism to feed rounds into the magazine. The magazine is what holds the rounds that will be loaded into the action of the firearm.
Here is an article that can explain further

With all the corruption going on in the USA how can anyone be opposed to guns. You have to be stupid if you think gun's need to be banned.

So are we meant to ignore the Declaration of Independence when it says "all men are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights"? When the Second Amendment says "the right... shall not be infringed", is it really saying "lol the government can regulate guns i guess"?

Uhhg, I get really tired of posting my long-winded pro-gun rant; but you anti-gun shills just never learn, so I'll simplify it.

>muh, muh US has the most gun deaths!
60% of US gun deaths are suicides; and it's the same relative amount of suicide as other countries like the UK and Japan, they just kill themselves in more gruesome ways because they can't get guns.

The US is also 111th in murder-per-capita. Countries like Mexico, Venezuela, and Brazil with strict-as-fuck gun laws still have higher murder rates. The reason we have lots of murders is because of shitskins; which leftists want to import more of for some reason.

The major city in the US with the lowest murder rate is Plano, Texas - where lots of people are gun owners, and the gun laws are lax.

>we can take ur guns away if we want, you don't need big magazines, etc.
The Supreme Court case of Heller v. Disctrict of Columbia already ruled that owning a semi-automatic gun is a Constitutional right:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_of_Columbia_v._Heller

From a philosophical/Constitutional perspective, gun ownership should be a right. The Preamble to the Constitution states that people have a right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". If citizens have a right to life, that means that they should have a right to defend their life by adequate means. Women, old people, and the disabled can't defeat a gang of dindus in melee combat - thus, guns are necessary.

>b-b, but, you don't need guns because you have cops!
The Supreme Court Case Warren v District of Columbia ruled that the police do not have a duty to risk their life to protect you:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_v._District_of_Columbia

Also, aren't you lefty types always shitting on the cops? I thought if a cop gets anywhere near you, it would trigger you.

This is like saying that you should not have access to more than thirty post stamps at a time for the fear that you could use those to send anthrax to several homes at once. In the real world, I would consider you sane and confident enough to handle a magazine that can hold thirty rounds, which is contrary to the media rhetoric that anyone with any magazine over ten rounds is just a crazy person on the edge of murdering others. You have the absolute right to defend yourself, and if you don't want to use that right, it's okay. Just remember that if you were a citizen of the United States of America that you would have the CHOICE of wanting to either own or not own a firearm.

How is the "right" to bear arms mysterious? Just because the popular firearm is no longer a smooth bore musket doesn't mean that an AR-15 isn't covered by the constitution. James Madison almost definitely foresaw the inevitable advancements of weapon technologies when he wrote the bill of "rights".

What? You're accusing me of circular logic while committing that blunder?

The law is created by the will of the public and is maintained only by the will of the public. The government is a necessary evil that is maintained only by the will of the public. Governments are instituted among men, not the other way around. If the system is immoral or non-functional, it will be surmounted as easily as yours was in 1776.

Well, OK, let's break this down:

>In the real world, I would consider you sane and confident enough to handle a magazine that can hold thirty rounds
Well, perhaps you are too trusting? But that's not really the point.

>the media rhetoric that anyone with any magazine over ten rounds is just a crazy person on the edge of murdering others
The justification for weapons in the US is twofold:

1) Recreation
2) Self-defence

Neither of those require a 30-round magazine (and of course, I was being conservative when I suggested the idea of a 30 round magazine for an AR-15). Perhaps you might consider that there is some other scare story going on which suggests you need dozens of bullets to defend your family.

I would suggest you stop watching any movies in The Purge series.

High capacity guns like the girandoni air rifle were well known but the founders chose not to regulate them, for a reason.
>>
>>75609997
I have a question for you; would you consider yourself confident with handling and using a firearm? A lot of people confuse their own personal confidence with the confidence of an entire population of people. A good example of this would be that I should not trust others with using a crane or tow truck because I do not have the confidence or skill to handle either. I reccomend you try to use a firearm at least once to gain a bit of perspective on what we are talking about. I believe that it will be a very rewarding and enlightening experience.

So it seems we agree.

Irrelevant based on the U.S. Constitution's understanding of the right bear arms.

As for more dangerous weapons like explosives, remember that bulk storage of explosives and gun powder was kept far away from from the rest of the cities and towns in the period of the founding.

It's nice to add that the San Bernardino terrorist didn't even use 30 round magazines when they carried out their attack. You could clearly see a giant pile of 15 round magazines lying on the ground in front of the bullet-riddled SUV. Magazine capacity is a massive fucking retarded meme that will only lead to a slippery slope into more regulations that don't affect the national crime rate or amount of victims in mass shootings.
>>
>>75610884
Authority is an integral part of law. You've been ignoring the fact that the government has no authority to do what you propose. We don't agree at all. It's just that you've chosen a small, irrelevant point to not be retarded about.
