Honestly some seasons were meh at best, and in some episodes it felt like they are pushing it until its over. It had plenty of fun moments but most of them were on the road, which is why I like the idea behind their new show. I felt like the new top gear should be more focused on cars than trying to be comics, that's why they would've been better with Harris, Kidd and some other journalist.

The jokes were so fucking LAAAAAME. Chris Evans was trying way too hard to get a reaction out of people. He's the type of guy to tell a joke and stare at you until you laugh. Then he's running up and down hallways like a fag.
At times Matt did well but at other times he looked bored. And there was zero chemistry between the two. It felt like watching a guy run a marathon without feet.

Matt Le Blanc is ok but then he's almost too laid back and cool for a presenter, and as he isn't an experienced presenter most of the presenting duties fall on Chris Evans
The one plus was the new rally lap they make celebrities do, however Evans celeb interview before it was the cringiest part of the show
Top Gear was always about the crazy challenges and the "banter" between the three hosts, all of whom were clearly real friends (even if the banter was scripted some times). By removing the 3 hosts, they've removed half of what made the show

The old Top Gear mocked people like you regularly. You're the butt of the joke in every "why don't you ACTUALLY review a car" segment where they take the piss out of the premise.
Top Gear wasn't about cars. They even directly acknowledge the appeal of the show, in the show. On one of the expedition episodes (the exact one escapes me) they reference Last of the Summer Wine and that they're just a group of blokes hanging out.
The chemistry is the show.
That's why this reboot Top Gear is bullshit on all levels. If you wanted real car reporting, that exists already in other shows. If you wanted lame cunts making halfassed jokes, that's every panel show on the BBC (there are about a million of them).
They just hope to squeeze the last shekels out of this brand recognition.
