I was 8 years old when 9/11 happened and am from NYC. After that happened pretty much everyone hated Islam and Muslims and was begging for war. This was in the most liberal and probably diverse multicultural city in the world.
Obviously George W blew that chance because he said Islam is a religion of peace and that it was only Al Qaeda and the Taliban who was bad and wasted years and trillions of dollars to destablize the Middle East and the support for the war dropped massively during the occupation. That gave the liberal cucks room to grow and popularity that created this PC culture.
I think another major terror attack would be enough to wake people up. Or a bunch of repeated smaller scale attacks in the West. The average person only has so much patience and can only put up with so much before they realize that Islam is a major problem. The average person doesn't study history or politics and usually knows a couple of friendly "moderate Muslims" and was brainwashed their entire life to be nice to others and not be racist. But if they personally experience a terror attack they will be redpilled.
The thing is that it can't only be another war on foreign soil it needs to be a look at our immigration laws and stopping Islamization of our society and removing any radical elements from our countries to prevent more attacks since another long and failed war will make everyone go back to square 1 after a few years.

What land they hold is irrevelant. ISIS can be destroyed but will be replaced by a new Islamic terrorist group, similar to how Al Qaeda was the big group a few years ago. The issue is Islam, as long as you have radical Muslims in your country they will find ways to blow something up.
The bigger terror organizations that hold land like ISIS or Al Qaeda are just important to have a way to recruit, train, finance, plan terror attacks. But radicals who already want to do it can probably find their own ways to learn how to use weapons, make explosives and think about potential attacks anyway.
