War is only good for military contractors. It sucks money out of the rest of the economy to basically create stuff that exists to be destroyed. War should only be a loss mitigating measure, aka the losses, spiritually or materially, from not fighting or going to war are worse than a war would be.
He's against pointless war, but he's extremely pro-military and will likely oversee the largest national defense buildup since Reagan. You can bet that the defense contractors are praying for President Trump.
He's a Ronald Reagan/Teddy Roosevelt republican; speak softly and carry a big stick. If you have a powerful military and people genuinely think you'll use it when pressed, then they are not likely to test you. Peace through strength. It works.
