Holy fuck, for the first time this election I got real fear. I've been talking to my cousin about Sanders lately and I'm surprised to find out that he's voting for him. Normally he's a very conservative guy who is very knowledgeable about history but for some reason he thinks we need to redistribute the wealth and all that nonsense. I didn't really think about it until now when it hit me. Is this how countries became Communist in the past? By people like my cousin who didn't understand the real threat that this type of government can have to it's people?
Can anyone who grew up in a Communist country or who's talked to their grandparents who may have seen their country turn Communist tell me if we're in a similar situation to them now in America?

There's nothing wrong with wealth redistribution and communism in theory, however, so long as humans rule, it is an impossible government to implement as power corrupts.
Communism is ahead of its time, but it might be viable in the coming future with robots and AI.
When you have a "slave class" of machines to do all the work, and an all powerful ASI to watch over mankind, then commumism is a viable form of economy and government. Beacause most humans won't have jobs unless they're scientists or creative types like artists or musicians. Thus, society must then focus on the whole, and maintaining the collective over the success of the individual. Especially since now, all humans are pretty much equal across the board.
Ofc, this needs to have on a global scale.
Will this be the best option? Idk, ut sounds utopian, but everything always does in theory.
Still, I challenge anyone to think of better ways to tackle the advent of robotics and AI.
