Was the War in Iraq a mistake?
>>
>>75112361

Yes because it made Westerners more anti war.

We need war.
>>
no, it was on purpose
>>
Sadam was fucking saving Iraq from conservative muslism. USA and Europe got what they wanted. A bunch of refugees to satisfy their cuck fetish.
>>
Yeah
>>
They shoulda left things alone. We wouldnt be dealing with ISIS if Saddam was still alive and in power
>>
yes and no.

we should have finished it back in the 90s during the first gulf war.
>>
>>75112361
It was a bad idea with even worse execution
>>
Undoubtedly. Rove, Rumsfeld and Chaney destabilized the area in order to exploit it. And they were so busy exploiting they failed to apprehend Zarqawi.
>>
>>75112361
It's always a mistake to start a war and not finish it and have the result wrapped up in a pretty bow before the democrats get a shot at the whitehouse. There is literally no international incident that they can't somehow turn into mass immigration and white genocide.
>>
>>75112361

No. But leaving Iraq was a mistake.
>>
>>75112361

No.

Saddam violated a treaty and refused to let inspectors do their job. The war in Iraq was completely 100% justified.
The mistake was the way in which we approached combat. The rules of engagement we have are so fucking retarded, that the military is basically fighting with one arm tied behind its back and the other arm has a boxing glove on.
Then God Emperor Obama became president and instead of trying to fix the mess we got ourselves in, he just picks up his army and leaves a huge power vacuum for ISIS to step in.

If our rules of engagement were different and the liberal media wasn't portraying the Iraq War in the WORST possible light ever, we probably could've finished the war and cleared out the mudslimes in 5 years tops.

In retrospect...Yes. You need a "strong man dictator" to keep the religious concervatives in check. Yeah he was brutal and probably a bunch of other things that we in the West would consider abhorrent, but look what came to fruition in his wake. The power vaccum has cost hundreds of thousands of lives...what Christians remained in the Middle East have been driven out, sold into slavery or murdered. Priceless history stolen or destroyed, depleted uranium peppered across the land and making it's way into the fresh water supply, mass influx of people into Europe and a host of other problems. Drought was already a problem in the Middle East which drove anger and fear. Take away a goverment able to provide and maintain infrastruct and you drive the desperate, the young and disillusioned into the arms of Imams.
>>
The war should of been quick, brutal and final in the 90's.
>>
Saddam didn't deserve this
>>
>>75112361
Without dictators you end up with ISIS or the Muslim Brotherhood or some other islamic extremist group popping up. With Egypt under military rule practically its the safest of any middle east nation.
Dictators=Good
Democracy in Islamic Nations=A joke
>>
>>75112361
Yes because Saddam was a gud boi he dindu nuffin jus needed mo' brikzs fo' dat ziggurat.
>>
>all those people answering Yes

What a time to be alive in the Western world, where you don't have to worry about getting nerve-gassed to death or rounded up and shot by republican guard. And then go online and say that things are better that way.
>>
>>75119495
who gives a fuck what they do in their own nations. Middle easterners cant handle freedom
>>
Saddam use to be our guy but decided he didn't want to play ball anymore. He kept the Imams in check but was a rival to the House of Saud and the wahabbies they patron.
>>
>>75112361

Of course it was. Any American who says it wasn't is just in full damage control. The only reason Saddam got into power and remained there was because of aid and backing from the United States in the first place. The US allowed Saddam to use Chemical weapons on the Iranians all the while funding him economically/militarily. Then when the mad dog broke the leash and invaded Kuwait they subdued him but didn't put him down because they needed him to keep a lid on the Shias in Iraq which form a majority. Then after 9/11 the US blamed Saddam for an act he had nothing to do with so you could invade him again after he turned against the US and tried to topple the USD with a gold backed currency. Now they no longer have a strongman to keep control of the failed state artificially created by the French/Anglos 100 years ago.

>genuinely acting like if Justin Trudeau wanted to start genociding whoever he wanted and he started with your family you wouldn't want United States attack helicopters flying over to swoop in and save the day

hypocrite

>>75112361
thats not even him who's wrapped around that rope
>>
>>75112361
Not for the sickos who planned it. You can bet they profited a lot from it. But for the American people and the World, yes definitely.
>>
The Middle East has been brutal for a long time. Rivals are murdered be it with gas the bullet or the sword. Islam is not compatible with democracy so trying to rationalize their way is stupid unless you have been apart of that culture.
