Say, for whatever reasons, our man wins in the general. Clinton withdraws from mainstream politics in defeat, and when 2020 arrives, the Dems need to present a viable alternative to try to prevent a second turn for Trump.
They're a liberal; to the point of being borderline Bernie. Massively pro welfare, anti guns, anti upper class. Pro education, anti religion. Enough to capture the youth vote for sure. But here's the catch:
They're a Native.
A full blooded, reservation raised Native American.
What would their chances be (realistically, memes to the minimum) of winning an election? Why?

You might not get the weird dynamic that comes about with a two-party system, so let me explain: The Presidency usually alternates between the parties by two-term intervals. When a party is really popular, they might swing a 3-term hold on the White House (Eight years of Reagan followed by four years of George HW Bush). The odds of Trump winning are higher because there's been a Dem president for the last eight years. So Trump winning a two-term Presidency is even higher. Unless a President is extremely bad/weak (Like Jimmy Carter) or they're of the same party as the incumbent President (Like George HW Bush and Reagan were both Republicans) they're not going to have only one term.
TL;DR Presidents never lose re-election unless they're really bad or unless the American People get sick of that political party being in power.
