I see them as a band that's cheesy, yet surprisingly charming. Their music and lyrics bring back the nostalgia and innocence of being a teen.
Kinda like how some people feel about Linkin Park ("It's cheesy... yet somehow great at the same time and nostalgic"), only Rush is probably less cringe and makes you feel less embarrassed listening to it.
