Google only lets you filter out Donald Trump notifications and news updates but with Bernie it doesn't even offer an option.
Also whenever a primary is over it always alerts me if Bernie won but never anyone else.
Funny thing is I'm a registered Republican and I've never seen an option to turn this Bernie updates. Nor an option to toggle Trump only notifications.
Is Google blatantly Pro Bernie or am I just looking to much into this?

Google has an algorithm that guesses what your interests are. The options you posted are to correct Google.
For instance, maybe I like to search alot of Milf Porn, but I don't want Google to push that shit to me. I can tell Google "No, I'm actually *NOT* interested in Milf porn wink wink" and Google won't push me stories about Milf Porn.
The only reason that an option for Bernie doesn't exist is because Google hasn't detected that you've shown interest in Bernie Sanders.
