Leftism is now an ideology.
What was once the left side of the French parliament, then liberalism and in some views partially libertarianism, has now become a fad - a cluster of poorly defined and ever-changing beliefs. We had Nazism, Fascism, Communism and Socialism and they all went wrong one way or another. Today it is popular to be "on the left", to disregard patriotism, 'nationalism' became a dirty word and everyone opposed to this decadent and complete 'freedom' is deemed a radical and evil.
And like with any ideology, we must fight it.
I just want people to give a shit, even if they disagree with me.

It's sort of like Game of Thrones. When liberals play games that fuck up your work life, relationships, etc. because they suspect you as racist, misogynist, whatever, it then forces those on the right to play the same games.
