He was terrible. He wanted to fight a war with Germany to preserve the independence of Poland, and prevent Germany from challenging the global power of the British Empire and possibly even gaining power over the UK itself.
How did that work out for him? Not very well.
Say what you want about him, he understood some things better than most.
