For example, what will change if the drinking age is lowered to 16? Probably in the long term nothing. Parents will be forced to actually do their job and educate their children about proper alcohol consumption.
I mean, my parents introduced me to alcohol at a relatively young age. They'd encourage me to take a sip or wine or pour me a little champaign at celebrations and stuff. They told me how to drink properly to avoid getting too drunk, and to know my limits.
They helped me learn about different types of alcohol and find my own preferences. And they also steered me away from cheap shit like bud weiser or smearnoff in plastic containers, in favor of good drinks.
After a certain point they freely offered alcohol whenever they were having some, and I usually declined (I didnt develop a taste for it until later).
When I finally did get into a habit of drinking (mostly wine with dinner) I never once had a problem with getting too drunk, or alcohol abuse. In fact, one time I got pulled over and breathalyzer on St. patricks day, at 4am, and the cop was genuinly shocked to see I had zero alcohol in my blood.
To me, alcohol was just a drink like any other. No big deal. I dont need it to have fun, and Im not fixated or addicted to it.
Seeing people who cant control themselves and get absolely hammered beyond control genuinely mystifies me.
And yet, this is probably entirely due to my upbringing. If more people had such education and culturing as part of their growth, then alcohol abuse wouldnt be a big problem in the US and the draconian drinking laws would be completely redundent.

What was the point of even writing this? Yes the wheels are part of African culture, they just didn't know pi. They don't need to know pi to have wheels and round things as part of its culture. The knowledge of pi makes no difference to the wheels relevance or importance to the Africans.
Europe is known, world wide, for its beer, wine, and mead, as well as a variety of spirits like whiskey and brandy. All of it is home grown on good old Europa, not imported from Arabia. Just because we now use a somewhat Arabic (might also be Latin, which is an European language) word now doesn't mean the drinks, made well before we had an idea that it was what gets us drunk, can not be part of European culture.
