When Syriza took power in Greece the party was raised to the sky by the entire European left. Now Syriza are the ones to make budget cuts and have cops throwing tear gas at demonstrators...

A couple of years ago, Chavez was embraced to same way by leftist. Now Venezuela is utterly shit. In the 80:s it was Mugabe...

Why does the left always fail?

>Why does the left always fail?
The connection isn't their politics it's their hue.

>divide and conquer

Chavez hasn't been in power for years

The left isn't meant to give solutions. At best, it can better distribute existing resources produced by right-wing governments, provided they are plentiful. At worst, it can regress society and increase corruption.

That is the most punchable face I've ever seen.

Because the left have to overcome something. They are very good at it, necessary even. When a repressive government controls its citizens to much and abuses its power, that doesnt always mean the Right, the Left rise up and tear it down. Which is a good thing.
However once thats done they need to hand it over to someone else.

E.g. they are a crowbar that unjams a stuck door, but you cant replace the door with a crowbar, you need to get a new door.

Don't forget the "Arab Spring".

The left was dancing on the table. It was going to solve all problems in the Middle East. Instead, we got ISIS. And, predictable as ever, the left blames the right and the US for them.
>>
>promise a bunch of unrealistic shit to get elected
>get to power
>forced to deal with reality
>people stuck in the perpetual leftist fantasy either chimp out or face reality
Funny how that works.

The Left and the Arab Spring are consequences of the western intervention in the Middle East as much as ISIS is.
The western intervention is itself a result of Islam, of course.
